Established & founded by Mr. Wasudeo Ramkrishna Talwalker way back in 1928, W R Talwalker Brothers Pvt. Ltd. is the flagship company of WRT group. WRT is one of the First Authorised Distributors of Kirloskar Brothers Ltd (1888). As years passed by & with industrial development & growth constantly rising, we also become Authorised Distributors for Kirloskar Oils Engines Ltd (KOEL) & Kirloskar Electric Company (KEC) since their inception in 1946..
Our head & marketing office is located in the prime business area of Mumbai in Fort with branch offices at Dadar, Panvel & Mahad. Our Panvel branch is equipped with a service centre & warehouse having READY STOCK of Pumps, Pumpsets, D.G. Sets, Engines, Motors, Alternators, Valves, Spares, Industrial Oils & much more.

The history of dynamic and progressive thinking
It was in 1928 that – W. R. Talwalker Brothers Pvt. Ltd. (WRT) association with Kirloskar Brothers Ltd. (KBL) began when Mr. Ramkrishna Talwalkar, father of Mr. Wasudev Talwalker, bought the first Iron Plough made by KBL for his farm in Astha near Kirloskarvadi. Those were the days when superstitions determined the lifestyle people lived by and using an iron plough was a strict taboo. The reason – it was likened to piercing the heart of mother earth. The decision was rather revolutionary!
Later, when Mr. Wasudev settled down in Mumbai and went into business, some of his friends suggested that he visit Mr. Laxmanrao Kirloskar at Kirloskarvadi. He decided to follow their advice. On meeting, Mr. Laxmanrao asked him whether he was related to Mr. Ramkrishna from Ashta. Mr. Wasudev informed that he was his son. Pat came the reply “and you are my agent”. Mr. Laxmanrao promptly appointed him as his agent and WRT was in business!
Later, when KBL’s sister concerns – Kirloskar Oil EnginesLtd.(KOEL) & Kirloskar Electric Company (KEC) were founded, they appointed us as their dealers from day one. Mr. Wasudev was one of the founder members of KOEL too.
